I know every mom thinks she has the cutest baby in the world. But c’mon.

Look at that face!

2_6I can’t believe the changes in little Virginia in the past month.

She has great head control. She likes to be held more, as long as she is facing out. She has discovered how to put her hands in her mouth. And she gets happier and happier by the day!

2_2 And I hate to even say this out loud, for fear of jinxing it, or having other moms hate me.

She sleeps at night for an average of 8-10 hours. Last night she slept for 10.5!

I still get up and pump in the middle of the night, but I can’t believe what a great sleeper she is! What new mom gets two solid 4 hour chunks of sleep?

And then gets to wake up to this?

2_7Aside from being in love with Ginny, Jerry and I have had a great summer.

Jer has been busy with the timing business.

We have been out on two dates. One was a fabulous dinner at Nola’s, the other to see Bruce Springsteen in concert!

The only slight hiccup in life right now is that V refuses to take a bottle. We started out giving her a bottle when she was 3 weeks old. She did ok with it, only drinking a 1 or 2 ounces. Then suddenly at week 7, she flat out refused to drink out of a bottle at all.  Like, screams whenever Jerry puts the bottle near her mouth.

Right now it is not a huge deal. I just can’t leave her for more than about 2 or 3 hours.

We will keep trying the bottle, but I won’t get really nervous until I get closer to going back to work.

Jerry and I have been eating well and cooking some great summer meals.

I am not however, back to working out.

I have a couple of posts in the works about what we’ve been eating, and one on my post-baby body.

See you soon!
